Yards of the Month
Oct 2026 Space 66
The yard at Space 66 has been completely redesigned. The overpowering tree was removed, a meandering gravel walkway from front to back was added along with a paver mini-wall that encloses potted plants. There’s also green ground cover that appears to be low-maintenance. All of this is surrounded by the proverbial white picket fence. A labor of love by the homeowner.
Sept 2026 Space 315
Recently renovated to include artificial drought-friendly grass. The lovely variegated multi-trunk palms were surrounded with gray pavers and multi-colored rocks matching the recently painted house colors. Very simple and pleasing effect.”
Aug 2026 Space 40
Our delightful neighbor in Space 40 believed her yard deserved this month’s award—and she was right. The community at our last KLCC meeting liked the mixture of planter with plants, the artificial grass, the stones and statues all enclosed in a white paver border. AND it lights up at night for a special effect. Watch for notice of future twice yearly lighted yard winners (June and December).
June 2026 Space 150
Space 150 has a very cute turtle parade in progress! There's also a collection of beautiful pots enclosed in a scalloped brick border, and pops of colorful flowering plants. Very pleasing display.
May 2026 Space 159
Space 159 has many mini palms (a favorite in this Park). There are also flowers, large and small stones, pedestals, and a variety of other plants in an interesting and pleasant combination.
April 26 Space 141
Space 141 is the winner for April. It has some lush greenery and mini palms with an interesting arrangement of stones and a path leading to the front door.
Feb 26 Site 112
Space 112 has a delightful spring bouquet out front. Colorful and practical with the planter box on legs for ease of watering and weeding. Clever and lovely use of a limited space. Thank you for brightening our park!
Dec 25 Space 306
Space 306 has one of the smallest yards in the park, but look what they've done with it! It looks like cafe seating for two with a bit of greenery and lamp added for atmosphere. Very inviting. Well done.
Nov 25 Space 312
Space 312 has a clever placement of snake plants in a row against the white backdrop of the home’s front. Artificial grass that stays green year-round without watering, and a short palm-like bush surrounded by boulders provide additional color and interest.
Oct 25 SPACE 163
This small yards packs a lot of interesting items. There's the wrap-around artificial grass, the grouping of an attractive planter box with plant, a large boulder with black
stones at its base, a blue pot with plant, and a lion statue on the corner, plus a grouping of another blue pot and 3 black pots with plants alongside a white and orange bench in the front. Well done!

May 25 Space 56
This month's choice is Space 56. What used to be lizards sitting on dirt is now a decorative yard with pavers for the lizards to sit upon. The pavers are separated by black polished stones with lots of succulent plants in small black pots, and an "ivy wall" backdrop. Lucky lizards!
