Members voted to discontinue reading of minutes by the secretary but members will still be asked to approve or express any corrections.

3.     Because all visitors are exposed to the ads on each of the menu pages, the 130 visitors are added to the 86 subscribers for a total of 216 who have access to the ads.

4.     Nick will change the ad streaming so that the ads come first with the description of how advertisers can request to be added.

ii.     Block captains have begun to personally distribute English/Spanish flyer to get more residents to subscribe to online newsletter.

iii.     Posting of more KLCommunity.com signs with the QR code on it has been tabled. Andrea will create another sign on her own to post in her space.

2.     Unfinished Business

a.     Rummage Sale visitors were meager this year. Val will work on this for next year.

b.     April 18 is Dumpster Day; San Diego E-waste will provide bins. Nick, Wendy, Ron, and Val volunteered to “observe” and request that people fill out the necessary form.

c.     Elyse indicated that it would not be appropriate to advertise driveways for rent.

3.     New Business

a.     Suggestion boxes: Nothing submitted

b.     Items from the Board

                                      i.     Group photo done; Wendy will ask Nick to post and will send her personal description along with Ron’s. Amber and Val will submit theirs this month.

c.     Items from attendees/residents:

                                      i.     Parking problems were raised again. Joe reported that he and others on the Park team are working on this. Wendy will pass along to management several suggestions made by residents. (1) could some spaces (laundry, clubhouse, one in each parking lot) be time-limited (e.g., 20 or 60 minutes); (2) could special paid parking lots be made more available by opening access to new requests if a space has not been used for 6 months). Val will get Park’s rules and post them in the next Newsletter.

ii.     High electricity costs were discussed. Options for solar energy were offered (the company needs to be HUD eligible to work in the Park).

iii.     There was a report of a cat trapped under someone’s house. Please note that space owners need to be aware of animals under their homes and “free” them to prevent animal cruelty. Mice and rats can be managed via pest control companies or over-the-counter methods such as humane traps.

d.     Yard of the Month re-nomination: Space 159 was the winner; Nick will follow up with this month’s winner to find out where the sign has gone.

4.     Adjournment at  12:06
