KLCC February 2026 Meeting Minutes

Date: February 14, 2026 Called to order at: 11:00 AM

1. Administrative Business

1. Previous meeting minutes read by Amber; approved by Monique

2. Treasurer’s report: Previous balance   $8.95

   1. Income  $173.00 Expenses $43.78

   2. Current balance   $138.17

3. KLCommunity.com update 

4. 64 online, 20 paper subscribers–we NEED MORE SUBSCRIBERS

5. Suggest printing a 1-page NL subscriber flyer for NW captains to distribute to their blocks (make sure you say you are a KL resident!) Residents can sign-up on the spot, otherwise leave flyer) Include QR code on flier 

6. WE NEED MORE NL ADVERTISERS:  approach vendors in a few months with website statistics showing online traffic for a better ad sell; suggest to advertisers they can sponsor busy pages on the website where their ad is always displayed. 

   1. Sarah suggested we create a “direct for members” page listing vetted businesses and services, with personal reviews on the quality of their work. 

7. Neighborhood watch report: 

   1. Meetings changed to every other month, the 2nd Thursday (starting 3/ 12)

   2. Still need photos and BC duties to post on website

   3. Elise and Taylor attended an unscheduled NW meeting to report on:

8. DHS presence in the park (Jan.): KLM provided handouts re. scenario response and recommendations for civilians and Bill of Rights info. Sarah suggested adding a web link to constitutional rights on the KL webpage.

2. Bikes being stolen from carports: Thieves caught on camera; please LOCK UP your property or keep it out of sight!

i. National Night Out bash in Mission Valley on August 4; Fire Prevention Month, invite SDFD to park, October.  

Unfinished Business

1. Dumpster Day is April 18; Val will order E-Waste pick up; Rummage sale March 21st

      1. Need photo of board members to post on website; maybe a group photo on the clubhouse couch, or somewhere at the front of the park

      2. Need job descriptions written up for Nick to post on website

      3. Change NW meeting dates on website and update NW BC map info

   4. Community spirit: Live Music Event monthly on the 4 th Friday; multiple residents can perform and sing Karaoke plus a raffle?

3. Yard of the Month re-nominations (anonymous donation of monthly $20 awards has been offered for the remainder of 2026)
