      3. Total exposures to advertisers = 160+46+83+26 = 315

    5. Neighborhood watch report:

      1. Incidents this month: 2 minor issues (1 being a mistake); the other was a resident asking about how to dispose of a dead possum found in yard (management says to place carcass in two garbage bags and put in trash)

      2. Upcoming events:

        1. July 4th Ice Cream Social: Dilly’s soft serve ice cream reserved; Val to confirm and make payment soon. Servings will be 1/person, first come, first served basis. KLCC will ask Cyprien if he would like to perform the music

        2. August 4th is National Night Out—Elyse sees no problem with Andrea having a table set up at the Mission Valley Target event

        3. October is Fire Prevention month—more info to come

  2. Unfinished Business

    1. Dumpster Day/San Diego E-waste day:  All dumpsters/bins were filled to their tops!

    2. Board member group photo and brief bio’s posted on website

    3. Parking problem results from discussion with Elyse and Taylor

      1. Suggestion for time-limited spaces was deemed unrealistic given Park resources (No way to know what time someone parked or how long they stayed)

      2. Suggestion for limiting time to 6 months in paid parking lots when space is not being used (e.g., not letting residents keep paying when not in use). Management said that there are no unused spaces—if a space looks empty it is likely because the renter is currently using their vehicle.

      3. Clarification: there are no designated “guest” parking; all are “overflow”.

      4. Management makes “move or towed” warning calls to residents with cars illegally parked about 3 times a week; and tows cars several times a month

      5. Suggestion made to check parking lot signage to see if it says “guest”.

      6. Suggestion made to check Park rules regarding “street” parking and whether residents are supposed to use both parking spaces allotted for the residence or park on the street. If so, we would request that this be changed to reflect current practice.

    4. Trapped cat follow-up: Taylor investigated and determined that this was accidental rather than purposeful and the cat was okay so there was no need to report an animal cruelty complaint. Always bring suspicious issues to either Management or KLCC so we can clarify and/or correct rumors.

  3. New Business

    1. Suggestion boxes: Nothing

    2. Items from the Board

      1. Road repair this summer will include sealing the roadways; but no driveways

      2. The wording regarding a quorum in our Procedures does not mention whether or not Board members need to be in attendance for a quorum to exist; attendees voted to change wording to include at least 3 Board members and 3 non-Board residents for a quorum.

    3. Items from attendees/residents:

      1. Trash day reminder: if your bin is overflowing, garbage ends up on the street. The driver may or may not notice and may or may not pick it up which means our streets can become trashy. Residents can request an extra bin from management or ask a neighbor if they can use their bin for overflow.

      2. A new attendee asked what the criteria and process was for choosing the Yard of the Month. Yards need to be neat and as weed-free as possible with the space number clearly visible on the home. Anyone can nominate a yard via any Board member, and a picture is taken to be shown at the next KLCC meeting. This process was demonstrated by having this week’s nominations shown on the clubhouse screen and everyone present voting on their choice.

    4. Yard of the Month nomination:

      1. Last month recipient declined the award; preferred not being selected; wanted to donate the award to KLCC (since there is a donor specifically for the Yard of the Month, the donor simply did not make a donation last month)

      2. Space 150 aka Turtle Parade, was chosen this month

  1. Adjournment at  11:57 AM
